Yes, we should do better re: mental health in this country.
Yes, we should do better re: dealing with bullying in schools.
But every time we move the conversation to the perpetrator's past and mental health, we move it away from the main issue: the crucial need for gun control.

Tras cada masacre en Estados Unidos resurge y muere el debate sobre el uso y abuso de armas de fuego. Eso ocurrió luego de las masacres en las escuelas de Columbine (13 muertos), Sandyhook (26), Parkland (17) y ahora en Uvalde (15). Tristemente nada cambia.

En Estados Unidos matan niños y no cambia nada. Llevamos décadas viendo trágica, tristemente, masacre tras masacre. Siempre esperando que no nos toque cerca. No soy optimista. El Congreso de EU no tiene el valor de limitar el uso de armas. Y eso asegura la próxima matanza.

Every American deserves to send their kid to school without worry or fear, as well as a government that will do everything in their power to make sure we see our babies’ smiling faces rushing towards us at the end of the day and not a body bag. It does not have to be this way.
