❗️The date, was chosen for a significant reason: on this day in 1945, Polish soldiers who participated in the Battle of Berlin raised the flag atop the Reichstag and a column in the Tiergarten park.

📅 79 years ago the concentration camp at Dachau was liberated by American forces.
◾️It was the first concentration camp to be constructed by the Nazis and one of the last to be liberated. Over 180 thousands had been imprisoned in the camp by the time it was liberated.
