A judge described a father who raped his wife & controlled & intimidated his family by filming them via a body-cam as 'reprehensible'. The man who accused his partner of parental alienation tried to convince the court he was a victim of domestic abuse. rb.gy/hwwrju

The father was found to be financially and coercively controlling and to have used court proceedings to torment the mother and children. This included asking the court for her to have a mental health assessment despite their being no concerns about her mental health or parenting.

24 April 2024: Lisa Welford, 49, was pulled out of the River Derwent. She was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead. Vincent Morgan, 47, is charged with her murder.

14 April 2024: Samantha Mickleburgh, 54, was found dead at the Pennyhill Park Hotel in Surrey. Her partner, James Cartright, 60, has been charged with murder and controlling and coercive behaviour.

19 April 2024: Rachel McDaid, 53, was found dead at her home in Nottingham. Michael McDaid, 60, is charged with murder.

The Femicide census had revealed that 21 men released on bail went on to kill women between 2020 and 2022
