I remember when my friend had a terrible experience with a brother in church. I told my then-partner and he told me to immediately inform our pastor rather than keeping it as gossip and allowing him do it to others. I'm happy because I believe he has repented now.

Interesting how I was reading 1Cor 5 yesterday and I'm convinced this is what Paul was referring to in verses 3-5.

I had always wondered what he meant by 'deliver him to Satan for his flesh to be destroyed so he can be saved in the day of the Lord'

I think this is what he meant

When our sins are exposed, it is God's mercy to us.

The end of the exposure isn't rejection but actually to cause Godly sorrow leading to repentance.

I pray this is the case for the Brother.

You people should wrap this up.

If you want to expose the brother, expose him, expose his sin.

His Pastor, his church members and his friends will see it and correct him.

All these 'there is this one, there is that one' is not the word.
