Further up Kirkgate we’ve seen what can be done when restoration is carried out - businesses like Wapentake and of course the beautifully-restored First White Cloth Hall. #LookAfterOurHeritage

It was a miracle that no-one was hurt and the priority now must be to stabilise the structure and re-open the road. But this row of premises at the bottom end of Kirkgate has been deteriorating for a long time now and the owners need to take responsibility for them.
