First of all, the number being cited is first preferences only. Australia has preferential voting.

Second, we don't have one national vote, we have 151 separate House elections.

Funny how we can spend over $10 billion in fossil fuel subsidies and nearly $1 billion on offshore detention, but we can't make RATs free during the worst public health emergency in 100 years.
