Last day in the office as CEO of HSE. Feeling emotionally drained saying goodbye to staff that come to work every day to give people good care & hope. This has been the most inspirational time of my career. I'm humbled & a better person for the privilege. Thank you all. HSE Ireland
Two weeks ago not a single intern was paid in our hospital on the first payday as per hospital pay schedule.
We were made to beg and involve Irish Medical Organisation before the HR dept would even confirm we would be paid at all.
No one apologised. Bills went unpaid.

Today with Claire Byrne Public Health doctors’ advice is being compared with contrasting comments by other well known doctors who are not public health doctors. Public health is a specialty.
