If you’re not horrified about an army of cops being sent to fuck up a bunch of, among other backgrounds, Jewish students, then you don’t actually care about the safety of Jewish people. You’re also on the profoundly wrong side of history.

The hypocrisy and complete disregard for history is wild.

The more of these little openings are won, the easier it is to see what is really at stake here. The encampments are a form of contentious politics in the purest sense. Their purpose is to open terrain for actors and arguments that existing rules and procedures will not admit.

I mean, look, there are really two distinct (albeit overlapping) antisemitism discourses.

One is an attempt to unfairly smear campus protestors as antisemites to delegitimize them.

The other is an intra-Jewish dispute about who gets to be considered authentically a Jew.
