The Speaker doesn’t always vote in the House, but he was the tie breaker today. He voted against warrants.

When Joe Biden, Mike Johnson, and others tell you a warrant requirement for FISA 702 is “unworkable,” what they’re really saying is they don’t give a damn about the Fourth Amendment or your rights. Don’t waste an ounce of energy supporting a politician who has contempt for you.

Joe Biden is a threat to our liberty, our Constitution, and the Rule of Law.

Any and every federal official—from the White House to Congress—who supports unconstitutional, warrantless FISA 702 surveillance needs to be removed from office.

Translation: 'When I was a member of Judiciary, I saw the abuses of the FBI, hundreds of thousands of abuses. And then when I became speaker, I got the confidential briefing from a different perspective: They said if I didn't support FISA, I wouldn't be speaker for much longer.'

I just spoke on the House floor to urge my colleagues to move forward with a vote on an amendment requiring warrants for FISA surveillance of Americans.

If the warrant amendment doesn't pass, we must vote no on FISA reauthorization.
