Repealing this 1864 ban is a major victory for reproductive rights. But the fight isn’t over — right now Arizona women are still living under these extreme abortion bans.

But we can change that in November.

Head to ArizonaforAbortionAccess.org to join us.

Come November, Arizonans will have the opportunity to defeat anti-choice Republican legislators and codify the right to abortion in our state Constitution.

It’s time to give the decision back to women — where it belongs.

Since the Dobbs decision leaked two years ago today, I’ve been calling for the legislature to repeal the 1864 abortion ban.

Today, I’m so thrilled to have signed that bill into law.

The 1864 abortion ban was passed by 27 men, before women even had the right to vote.

Now, almost 160 years later, I’m going to sign the bill that will repeal it.

Today, the Senate finally did the right thing and answered my calls to repeal the 1864 abortion ban.

I’m going to sign it into law.

And we are going to get rid of this awful ban once and for all.

I’ve been calling on the legislature to repeal the 1864 abortion ban since the Dobbs decision. Today, the state House finally voted to do just that.

Now the Senate must send the repeal to my desk so we can get rid of this ban once and for all.

Women, doctors, and healthcare providers are already feeling the devastating effects of living under a total abortion ban here in Arizona.

And I’m going to keep doing everything in my power to fight back and make sure women are able to access the care they need.

Republicans stood on the floor of the legislature cheering and applauding their failure to repeal this awful abortion ban.

They cheered and applauded for millions of Arizona women to lose their reproductive freedoms entirely.

They own this.

Restoring reproductive rights rests on our shoulders this November. And I’m not going to back down from this fight.

I hope you’ll join me and the countless Arizonans who are ready to restore reproductive rights by heading to ArizonaforAbortionAccess.org.

A law passed in 1864 by 27 men is the reason why my 22-year-old daughter now has fewer rights than I did at her age. It’s absolutely outrageous.

I'm committed to ensuring that future generations have the essential freedoms they deserve.

It’s time for the legislature to listen to the vast majority of Arizonans and repeal this archaic abortion ban.

Donald Trump bragged about getting rid of Roe v. Wade. He and his fellow Republicans celebrated the Dobbs decision.

So now when they say that this decision 'went too far' — I simply don’t believe them.

I refuse to allow extremist Republicans to lock up women and doctors for seeking or providing needed healthcare.

That’s why last year I signed an executive order to prevent overzealous county attorneys from prosecuting women and doctors for performing or receiving abortions.

Republicans in the state legislature could take action right now to repeal this archaic 1864 ban. But yesterday, they outright refused.

So here’s my reminder to you: every single one of them is up for reelection in November — and we need to hold them accountable.
