Game companies have largely closed themselves up to the press in the past decade. I don’t expect that access to come back. I think it’s had profoundly negative consequences for everyone involved. But hey, this seems like it’s going great.

So a quick recap:

*Sony removes almost all outside media access to its creatives

*Publishes a very rare interview with one of its star developers

*Said developer distances himself from it because it's full of fabricated quotes

*Sony nukes the entire interview and apologizes
