Referendums are simply about voting on a principle.

The principle is whether we should recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as our First peoples…

Saying Yes to this principle is a good and honourable thing to do.

Recognising Indigenous people in the Consitition is the unfinished business left by Constitution’s framers. The proposed amendment will mean we can hear Indigenous advice on the policies and laws that affect them, so we as a nation can close the gap.
