Today the California Lawyers for the Arts is honoring me with an Artistic License Award. The presentation is from 4 to 7 pm at the William Turner Gallery, Bergamot Station, in Santa Monica. It's also a fundraiser for the powerful work of the California Lawyers for the Arts.

Tomorrow, April 18, I'm honored to be reading my poetry at 6:15 pm, the Annenberg Science Center, Room 132, at Cal State University, Los Angeles. A public reception will be held earlier at the Annenberg SCB Courtyard at 5:15 pm.

Presentation of my poetry book, 'Todos los caminos llevan a casa', published in Mexico by Editorial Chicanx Sin Fronteras, will be at Tia Chucha's Bookstore, March 22, 6:30 pm. Also there are publishers Alfonso Vasquez and Abraham Peralta as well poets Fe Montes & Matt Sedillo.

Tomorrow I fly to Guadalajara. I have events there and later in the week in Mexico City. Here are some of the events I'll be at. I'll also be promoting my bilingual poetry book published in Mexico last year: Todos los caminos lllevan a casa (All Roads Lead Home).

I'm proud to do this reading with other poets for Barrios Unidos in Santa Cruz to honor Cesar Chavez. I'll also be visiting Soledad Prison and taking part in the Mexica New Year event in San Jose. March 15 to 17.
