Madeleine Albright once said that when we stand together with our Allies, no force on earth is more powerful.

I believed that 25 years ago when I was involved with Poland’s joining NATO. And I believe that today.

Today, I was proud to welcome President Duda and Prime Minister Tusk of Poland to the White House to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Poland joining the NATO Alliance.

Our Alliance is more united, determined, dynamic, and larger than ever – now 32 nations strong.

To mark the 25th anniversary of Poland joining NATO, President Biden met with President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The leaders reaffirmed their ironclad commitment to NATO and discussed support for Ukraine.

On the 12th of March 1999, in the city of Independence, Missouri, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Geremek, handed over to US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright the instrument of accession of Poland 🇵🇱 to the North Atlantic Treaty. 1/4

Let’s be clear on this: when a commentator or a politician calls for ‚peace’ and simultaneously advocates denying the victim of aggression the means to defend herself they actually mean that the victim should capitulate.
Such Chamberlainism usually covers baser motives.

Support for #Ukraine is a strategic investment in our security. But Ukraine can only prevail if it stands firmly on two legs of American and European support. This week, together with EU MS Ambassadors, we sent a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson about our commitment to continued aid.
