Much has been written about what will happen if Trump wins. It is just as likely Biden will win. What happens then? If you think Trump is going away. . . .

We know the threat. How ready are we? My essay The Atlantic on Biden's duty.

STOCHASTIC TERRORISM ⤵️

As Mark Follman has described it: 'whereby a leader vilifies a person or group in ways likely to instigate random supporters to attack those targets, while the instigator maintains a veneer of plausible deniability.'

The pushback on this 'bloodbath' quote did compel me to watch again. He was clear. To read it otherwise would require me to ignore his words and nearly a decade of similar incitement, as if this came out of nowhere, as if he didn't already promote violence as a campaign strategy.

Today's House hearing with special counsel Robert Hur showed just how sleazy his report's attack on Biden was. Democrats justifiably pounded him for including speculation that has become ammo for the GOP assault on Biden and his abilities. My report:

I'm glad Juliette Kayyem is calling this out—if anything, she's being too charitable here. This is casual promotion of violence at an organized event by a state political party. It is disturbing. Especially given the incitement of Trump's MAGA movement 👉🏼 motherjones.com/politics/2022/…

In this Foreign Affairs article by former Israeli PM Ehud Barak, he makes a shocking assertion: “Six times in the past 12 years [Netanyahu] has rejected plans proposed by the heads of Israel’s secret security agency, known as Shabak, to eliminate the Hamas leadership.” Yet more…

The Supreme Court has agreed to consider whether a US citizen is above the law – a proposition that, if affirmed, would destroy the moral, legal, and political foundations of the Court itself.
