Tonight was an honor to sit with Salt River Project for the annual celebration of Arizona K12 Center Celebration of Accomplished Teaching. Kevin Rolfe thank you for your what you do for education. What a great night celebrating educators in Arizona.

Love this amazing group of humans so very much. Although we no longer work together each day, we are very much still connected and team of friends. We were able to celebrate our beloved Donnie Dicus, NBCT and for achieving his MOC! Cheers to a much brighter year ahead my friends. ☀️🕶🤍

This is fascinating and overwhelming. PK-12 Ts- such strong implications in our work over the next few decades.

Hey City of Phoenix, AZ. The park slide has been out of commission for months. Families and children love and need these special urban spaces in our community to be kept up as a priority. Any chance a fix is happening soon?

I just saw one of my past first graders who stopped me at the grocery store. She is a junior now! #iamold It brought me back to the love I have for my students and the memories we share. The feeling of care and concern for their well-being simply never leaves. 🧡

HUGE systemic equity issue here. And we wonder why so many of our kiddos are behind by third grade… the 0-3 space is critical when it comes to development and growth. Working families need safe, nurturing, and affordable care.

Pumped for this 📖. I have learned a ton from Dr. Dana Suskind’s work. Ps and caregivers are our children’s first Ts. Early learning, health, SEL skills, childcare... I am immersed in this space as a mom of babies. It’s a space that needs our comprehensive attention as a nation.

#3psinaPod this week is another favorite episode of mine. I vividly remember my short time working with Dr. Tracey Flores in Creighton SD. Her beliefs in the power of writing have me journaling again w/ my two year old joining in next to me in her own little notebook. ✏️📓💕

Jamila Dugan & I asked folx, 'What is the dominant language of #data in the field?' Here's what we heard:
- bubble kids
- below basic
- outliers
- low vs. high students
- at risk
- learning loss

Time to shift this dehumanizing language and aim for a new mark: student agency.

The data and lack of support is so clear. Come on Arizonians…. We can do better for our babies. Why we aren’t we past this hurdle is simply beyond me. Dr. Dana Suskind and Gloria Riviera in #NOICTSU give us so much info on what DOES work.

ICYMI - AZ Legislature passed a budget on party lines that:
➡️Provides $350K tax cut for the wealthiest Arizonans
➡️Only allows current or former officers on civilian review boards
➡️strips duties from the Secretary of State office
➡️create pathway to take license from teachers
