🌌 The Winchcombe #meteorite is a complex breccia from various CM chondrites, a cosmic jigsaw of jumbled puzzles.
🚀 Its history shows repeated collisions and reforms, with signs of water alteration hinting at past CO2 ice. This could explain carbonate veins on #asteroid #Bennu !

An ~800 g #meteorite was found yesterday by Fireballs Aotearoa based on #globalmeteornetwork cameras and methods. So far it looks like an ordinary chondrite but has a peculiar Aten-type orbit spanning almost exactly from Earth to Venus. More to come...
