An oldie …

It’s true I have a funny bone
(We all have, I believe)
It’s just that I don’t show it off —
I keep it up my sleeve.

And over-abundance of rhymes,
And just one more ode
Would make me explode,
I’ve versified too many times!

The Ventriloquists’ Convention
Will be gathering tonight:
Rhymes too numerous to mention
To themselves they will recite.
That classic one they do, by heck,
The goy stood on the gurning geck.

A triolet …

Sometimes at night when I turn out the light
I’m sorry it no longer beams,
And wish I could stay awake and just play
Than sleep and surrender to dreams.

I see that it's #Nakedgardeningday today, but having been disappointed in previous years, I won't hold out much hope that it is suddenly flourishing in my village!

Now that I have become a man, I have done away with childish things. Not.
