Building on our commitment to expand partnerships w/ Kenyan universities, Mpala was honoured to host a delegation from Karatina University. The visit provided valuable opportunities for sharing insights & exploring potential collaborations. #ResearchAtMpala

Since the water levels are lower for now, Mpala staff came together to clear the debris from the bridge, which is still standing. We are working w/ the Kenya Rural Roads Authority to inspect & assess the damage & determine a solution. For now, Mpala is accessible by air.

For the first time since 1996, the bridge that links Mpala Research Centre to the world is under water. Mpala will be inaccessible until further notice.

Today is International Leopard Day! Leopards are expert climbers, agile runners, and formidable predators, yet they also exude an aura of beauty and mystique.

Let's celebrate these magnificent cats and pledge to preserve and safeguard their habitats for generations to come!

Mpala will be sending 6 representatives to compete at the #LewaSafariMarathon . From our maintenance & security departments, Steven Karuri, James Satim, Simon Simpiri, Kevin Metyaki, Samuel Rimuni & John David Simpiri have been selected. We look forward to cheering them on!
