A busy night for Public Involvement meetings in the state.

Heads up, Jonesboro:

Highway 1 (Stadium Blvd.) will fully close between Interstate 555 and Highway 1B (Harrisburg Road) for one week, starting this Sunday, June 2.

This closure will allow crews to replace the bridge over Higginbottom Creek.

The clean up continues in Northwest Arkansas following the weekend storms. Traffic is getting by on Highway 5 in Benton County. Officials are asking drivers to maintain their speed and not stop to observe damage as it’s causing back-ups and slowing work in the area.

New IDrive Arkansas traffic cameras:

5 cameras have been added along I-555 at:
- Exit 39
- Exit 18
- Exit 13
- Exit 8
- Exit 7

In Little Rock, the water tower camera at the Big Rock Interchange at I-630 & I-430 has been upgraded to show two views: north and south.

Two new entrance ramps to I-30 westbound in Saline County are now open.

The traffic switch onto the new pavement happened overnight last night.

HEADS UP, DARDANELLE:

Starting Sunday, June 2, the Highway 7 Arkansas River Bridge between Dardanelle and Russellville will have alternating lane closures for the next 10 weeks as crews work on the bridge.

Please be patient and use caution in the area during the closures.

ARDOT participated in the children's Touch-A-Truck event at Park Plaza Mall yesterday, getting to show off our bridge inspection 'Snooper' truck and a drone.

We hope we inspired a few future road workers and engineers!

There will be an overnight closure of the Highway 70 ramp to I-30 east in Saline County Monday night, May 20 through Tuesday morning, May 21.

Flagging operations will be in place along the South Street Bridge and surrounding roads in Saline County from 9 p.m. Sunday, May 19 to 6 a.m. Monday, May 20.

Lane closures will be in place on Highway 64 (Garrison Avenue) in Ft. Smith from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily Monday, May 20,through Thursday, May 23.

After part of a trail near Hwy 71 in Bella Vista got washed out, pedestrians & cyclists began using Hwy 71 as a detour.

To increase safety along the highway, ARDOT sign crews volunteered to come in on their day off to install additional signage.
