A $625 million ship commissioned by Network member Dominion Energy has successfully hit the water. The ship, Charybdis, was a Ventus winner in 2021. It will serve to build Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind, a 2.6GW project off the coast of Virginia beach. bit.ly/3weLmOF

British energy supplier Octopus Energy is planning to invest $10-$30 million in Ocergy, a startup focused on floating wind turbines. The investment is part of the company's plan to invest $20 billion in offshore wind by 2030. More on this development here: on.wsj.com/3JJyVxu

Member Beleef Boskalis has begun installation for Revolution Wind, and member DEME and heavy lifter Orion, will begin offshore construction for Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind.

#BreakingNews Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Management announced two new lease sales: one in the Gulf of Maine and one off the Oregon Coast. The PSN's were issued for nearly one million acres (GoME), and just under 200 thousand acres (OR).
