This Kentucky Derby winner was pretty good!

SPECTACULAR BID won the 1979 Kentucky Derby, and 26 of 30 starts. 13 wins came in G1s.

This shows SPECTACULAR BID at his Milfer Farm home in Unadilla, NY, Aug. 2002. He was 26.

Bid died the next summer and was buried near this spot.

The 1918 Kentucky Derby winner - EXTERMINATOR - became one of our most loved Thoroughbreds.

This shows Exterminator winning the Belmont's 1921 Autumn Gold Cup H. over Bellsolar. Hard to believe owners didn't want to race their horses at 2 miles - at least against Exterminator.

In 1940, GALLAHADION also won the San Vicente, was second in the Derby Trial and Arlington Classic, was 3rd in the Preakness, etc.

Overall record: 36-6-6-4
