May 13, 1962 – St. Benedict’s club soccer team defeats Meierhoff International of Kansas City 3-0 on the campus football field. It is believed to the college’s first match against an outside opponent. Dick Wittman, professor of Latin, is the faculty sponsor.

May 12, 1996 – Benedictine Baseball wins the Heart of America Conference Tournament with a 5-4 victory over Evangel in Clinton, Iowa. The game ends at 2:55 a.m. after rain delays. The Ravens, who defeated Evangel 4-3 the previous day, earn a spot in the NAIA Midwest Regional.
