We all want to see common sense applied to the laws of the game but - Bayern should’ve had a pen last night. The ball is in play when Gabriel picked it up. The ref has no discretion in that scenario. It’s a pen. Are we saying defenders can pick the ball up whenever they want? No.

Now that Everton & Forest have been dealt with it’s time to come to a decision on Manchester City - for the good of football. While they continue to run from perceived justice everything they win is tainted. Surely they want to remove that allegation? Settle the matter - now.
