As part of #CleftAwarenessWeek , our wonderful Ambassador, Isobel, is hosting a drawing class on 12th May to raise money for Smile Train.

We're thrilled that our partnership with Kids Operating Room on the introduction of solar-powered operating theatres across Africa was featured in Citizen Digital.

By 2025, we envision the implementation of up to 40 solar-powered theatres across Africa.

Zafran's cleft came as an unexpected surprise to his family, and they were determined to find the best treatment, and fast.

Our local medical partner in Indonesia reassured Zafran's family that all of his treatment was completely free, which brought much-needed relief.

Our Ambassador, Elouan, felt a connection with other children who were born with a cleft and was keen to raise awareness of our work. He started fundraising for Smile Train UK at seven and is now a proud member of our family inspiring other young people to do the same.

To date, we've helped nearly 75,000 people born with a cleft receive comprehensive cleft care.

Research tells us that smiling is contagious. When someone smiles at you, your brain automatically mimics the act without even realising it!

Although Heidi's cleft wasn't much of an issue growing up, she experienced bullying when she blew up on social media.
