Really excited for today’s Cargo bike summit

We estimate 200k pupils are driven to primary school in London & 50% of them driven distances 1-2 miles.

Cargo bikes have a huge role to play in reducing #schoolrun traffic

We need to enable them -subsidies, storage, insurance..

The Rosendale bike lane is being extended and so many families will benefit.We estimate:

👉700 primary pupils already travel sustainably in West Dulwich ward

👉900 already travel sustainably 1 mile + to schools in adjacent wards

Not to mention secondary schools..

We're now running a #BikeBus at three #Hackney schools! Here are the 12 pupils from today's bus posing next to a tranquil #RiverLea . They enjoyed an invigorating morning bike ride, which is how most kids should be getting to school. A #BikeBus = temporary cycling infrastructure.
