Every doctor that rotates through our unit gets an hour of mental health induction (psychiatry in the ED is my thing) and this is the slide I start and end on.

Gaza is under intense bombing.

Telecommunications have been cut.

We can't get through to our family who have been trapped in this war zone for almost 3 weeks.

In awe and admiration of the health professionals in Gaza. Nurses and doctors joining any hospital they have access to. Only leaving work to ensure their families have what they need and then coming back to work. They sleep, eat and work sometimes in the same building for days.

I am deeply disappointed in this statement issued by the Department of Health and Social Care, as a healthcare representative organisation isn’t the ethos to remain neutral? and focus on the need for humanitarian efforts to ease the suffering of all affected citizens
