A moose having a nap on the newly grown green grass. As you can see he is just growing back a new set of antlers for the breeding season later this summer. Just look how well he just blends into the background here while he is snoozing.

Small birds singing in the backyard every morning when I wake up now. It is nice to have them back again for the summer.

Winter certainly seemed to fly by this year. I cannot believe it is time to dig out my little lawn tractor from the shed again. I will take it for a spring tune up and then give the lawn a first mow next week sometime.

Despite the cool weather it has not kept the grass from starting to grow and turn green again. Hey dad, you are going to have to mow this again soon.

Although only 9 degrees here this morning, it is still wonderful to see the sun streaming in through the windows. Soon enough summer temperatures will be here now.

My B&W picture today is an old fish stage on the northeast coast of Newfoundland. Here a stage is a wharf built with logs that has fish sheds on it. I hope you are all having a good week so far, and until tomorrow then friends……

A cold looking ocean this morning. It will only get up to around 6 degrees here today. Our temperatures have gotten cool again with the foggy weather we have experienced lately.

After 14 hours in the car on Monday when we went to northern Newfoundland, Jersey was quite content to stay in bed just about all day yesterday. We keep forgetting she is old like us and gets tired too.

After days of wet weather it was damp enough in the house last night for the Mrs. to light a little fire. Even at this time of the year the stove comes in handy on these really cold, damp days. The heat dries up the air in no time at all.

Just look at them with lobsters and all I have to eat is this little bone. Do you know years ago lobsters had such little value that fishers use to catch them to feed to their sled dogs. If you went to school with a lobster sandwich everyone knew you were from a poor family.

To make matters even worse I was forced to eat some of these home made Parker House rolls with my lobsters last night. It is a hard job but someone has to do it I suppose.
