And hard to argue with Nick Montgomery: 'We probably could have scored eight goals, the keeper has pulled off four or five top class saves from point blank range.'

At least he's taking it all seriously... 'In the first half we couldn't pass the ball to each other and that's quite important.'

This club decided David Wotherspoon wasn’t good enough for a new contract.

This club decided Chris Kane was surplus to requirements in January.

Both of those players piss all over every single one of these frauds.

The main negative to sacking Craig Levein is we might avoid the blessed relief of relegation from this three-year nightmare. But, in reality, enough is enough. Again.

VAR has been a dismal failure - the quest for the removal of refereeing errors has created pretty much the same amount of controversy about decisions, yet the spontaneity and excitement associated with a goal being scored has been ripped away from the sport. Well done everybody!

Great piece with an insight into Billy Stark's reign as St Johnstone manager. Unfortunately, so many striking similarities between then and now.

Saints were running on empty. They'd played 11 games in 48 days and were off the back of a draining semi-final defeat. They couldn't afford to slip up as Gretna crumbled. One man was proving a colossus. From this day in 2007, Martin Hardie steps up again.

What an important day in the history of the club. The man that dragged Saints out of a four-season malaise because he had the passion and drive to turn things around.
