Couldn’t believe it. I almost dropped my phone when I discovered robot Rishi Sunak’s hiding place from the 1922 Committee.

I know he has no imagination, but it would help if he didn’t typecast himself

The 1922 committee appears to be nearly ready to remove Rishi Sunak.

The most likely replacement Suella Braverman will be put in to do exactly what Truss did.

Except she will have a whole year, and I am sure some interesting views on how to 'fix' voting.

It can get even WORSE

News: Time to say goodbye. WEF Sunak's time in office as an 'unelected' PM is on borrowed time. From within Westminster - at least 54 MPs are poised to send 'letters' of no confidence' to the 1922 Committee. Sunak will eventually be forced to resign due to his betrayal of Brexit

Rumour has it that the 1922 Committee are drawing up options to replace Johnson. The choices so far include the likes of (no brain) Dominic Raab, (nasty) Priti Patel & (bimbo) Liz Truss.

Either way this country is still fucked.

Dominic Raab has tried to hand in a letter of no confidence to the 1922 Committee, but ended up accidentally sponsoring a snow leopard.

Downing Street claims Liz Truss couldn't respond to today's Urgent Question because she was in a meeting with 1922 Committee Chair Sir Graham Brady.

This is despite Graham Brady being in attendance in the House of Commons DURING today's Urgent Question.

Disappointed the 1922 committee are waiting until 5 Sept to announce new Conservative leader (aka PM)

That's too late. The catastrophically high Oct price cap announcement a fortnight before will cause panic, DDs will already be rising. It's not enough time for ministers to act!

Nonsense that if Boris wins this vote, he’ll be safe for a year.
If Tory MPs vote for another No Confidence in 12 days, the 1922 Committee has to agree to one. Those are the rules.

I have already indicated publicly that I have submitted a formal letter to the Chairman of the 1922 Committee calling for a Leadership Election. (This was done a year ago following the 'Barnard Castle' incident and has been refreshed recently). 1/3

Really enjoyed listening to Lord Norton of Louth speaking to Centre for Democratic Politics today

Lord Norton talked about his latest book on the 1922 Committee, a vital piece of research for anyone looking to understand the internal drama of the Conservative Party and leadership turmoil

Rory Stewart meditates in the lotus position in a Nepalese monastery, eyes closed. His hair ruffles in the breeze. Goat bells clank in the distance.

Four members of the 1922 committee approach nervously.

Stewart (eyes still closed): I’ve been expecting you.
