It's been almost one year of my PhD at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Delighted to Present our work on EPR at the end of the year symposium. Thank you Jason Jason W. Sidabras and Department of biophysics for the support.
At York Festival of Ideas, I will talk about how DNA ‘dances’ inside the cell, as @AlicePyne and I found out using #biophysics (simulations and high-resolution images) UoY School of Physics, Engineering and Technology Physics of Life

Very underwhelming response to Michael Weissman finding of acertainment bias.
(1) Their 'donut hole' method had no way to find missed cases
(2) Admit the dataset was 'quite small'
(3) Must assume secondary infections travelled half as far just to have a 5% chance of this happening

Emmy Blumenthal investigates emergent phenomena in ecological models by developing and extending theoretical techniques from statistical physics. They are currently a biophysics theory post-baccalaureate researcher at Boston University, and will attend Princeton University for a PhD in physics.
IMO Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance has been an awful steward of US Taxpayer money.
He has rightfully been cut off.
After taking millions of dollars to help prevent pandemics, he did everything in his power to obfuscate the origin of the most consequential one in a generation.
#ProudtoBU : Emmy Blumenthal, a BU Arts & Sciences alum and post-baccalaureate researcher, has been awarded a 2024 Hertz Fellowship in biophysics by Fannie and John Hertz Foundation. They will pursue a doctorate in physics at Princeton University with up to $250K in funding.

Congratulations to Max White (’27 MD-PhD, Biomedical Engineering, ’17 Biophysics)!! He has won a Fulbright research grant to Spain to work on characterizing novel coagulases produced by two common and often multidrug resistant hospital-acquired bloodstream infections. #Fulbright
I'm truly honored that the work on my group in Chromosome Biophysics has been so highly recognized. Particularly touched to receive this prize from Tel-Aviv University in Israel. Particularly now - in these difficult times.
Honored to share this award with cees dekker, wish
I am stunned and truly honored that I am the recipient of the 2024 Raymond and Beverly Sackler International Prize in Biophysics - together with Leonid Mirny and Schwille Lab!
