Many more boats escorted into Dover yesterday, there were even some beach landings at Dungeness. The same goes for this morning.

A viewable woodchat shrike has long been on my wanted list and one finally turned up at Dungeness RSPB (very near our home) Nicky and I hurried over and sure enough the bird was still there . one VERY VERY CHUFFED pair of birders a few hours later

Within just a few miles of where Boris did his big speech earlier today, there was a beach landing at Greatstone and the Dungeness Lifeboat broke down.

The Dungeness Small Coppers were about in huge numbers this morning in fine ,warm weather .A two and a half mile round circuit we counted a very respectable first brood count of 234 . They still appear to be emerging a little later than last season .
