A similar divergence happens with the gospel: BCP appoints John 15.1-11 and Sarum gives John 15.1-7. In the Roman Missal, this is used as the gospel in the Common of a Martyr in Eastertide. Today's gospel is an old common lesson for Evangelists: Luke 10.1-9.
