The UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) is a 16 character code found on certain chemical products that links information about the product, its ingredients & toxicity. The code enables poison centres to give appropriate treatment advice.

Nail polish removers can contain solvents including acetone, ethyl acetate, isopropyl alcohol & methyl ethyl ketone. If ingested CNS toxicity & GI features can occur & skin/eye exposure can cause irritant effects. Always seek medical advice from NPICIreland - National Poisons Information Centre if poisoning occurs
Thankfully not all poisoning cases need to be treated in the emergency department. Our EDs are under enormous strain. If poisoning is suspected, call NPICIreland - National Poisons Information Centre for advice. If ED is needed, we'll recommend immediate transfer to hospital, if not we'll provide alternative advice

Essential oils are highly toxic by ingestion and can cause vomiting, stomach upset, drowsiness and lung injury if aspiration occurs. Neat oils can cause severe irritation and corneal damage following eye contact. Call NPICIreland - National Poisons Information Centre if poisoning occurs
