Senator Senator Paul Gavan of Sinn Féin announced that his party will have no choice but to vote against the Hate Speech Bill as is.
Gavan is concerned about how the law may be weaponized, and how Section 10 (possession of 'hateful' material) dispels with the presumption of innocence.
