This animation shows how the bridge deck and stay cables will be installed! 🌉

First, girders are lifted into place on the tower's lower crossbeam. Once precast panels are installed on top, stay cables are secured to connect the bridge deck to the main bridge tower.

Crews are now installing concrete deck panels outward from the main bridge tower to create the future bridge deck.

In this photo, 8 precast deck panels have been installed onto the pier table on the bridge tower’s lower crossbeam.

In this aerial shot of the main bridge tower from November, you can see the steel “pier table” being built on top of the lower crossbeam.

The pier table is the centre of the future bridge deck – soon, a crane will install deck panels and steel beams outward from this point.

Here’s a close-up of the main bridge tower’s construction. In this photo, 27 out of 33 segments of the tower have been completed!

The pier table is a series of large steel pieces installed outward from the tower’s lower crossbeam.

This is a close-up of the main bridge tower’s lower crossbeam, where large steel pieces are being installed to form the “pier table.”

Once the pier table is completed, crews can begin installing steel beams and concrete deck panels outward from the bridge tower.

I love great signage. This “Unwind” wine bar is in my neighborhood in Hyde Park Cincinnati. The posts have steel “vines” that twist around their columns and then form the crossbeam for the letters.
