For everyone thats hyped for Longlegs, I highly recommend giving Oz Perkins debut feature The Blackcoats Daughter a watch! An unsettling, slow build horror set in an all girls school over winter break. It's very atmospheric, eerie & would be perfect to watch on a cold, dark day!

This look is so good. It just has this eerie feeling and I love it 💜🖤

THAT WAS DEFINITELY AN EXPERIENCE.

Opening with Ohira's fire sequence, we get a pretty dark & eerie beginning, which is uncomfortable in ways that I haven't seen in any Miyazaki Movie.

Joe Hisaishi's music is also unique here, at points it felt almost like a silent film (1/n)

These garden eels are so named because their heads extend from the sea floor like plants in an eerie garden
