Stone circle at Derrynafinchin, West Cork. Good to see the gorse has been cleared along the fence posts dividing the circle, but still hard to photograph. May 2024.

Approx 200 metres outside the main Beaghmore Stone Circle complex is a group of 5 standing stones adjacent to a small cairn. Four are pictured here...1 to the right of the gorse, 1 almost obscured in the middle of the gorse & 2 in the foreground

A glorious day in 's College Valley for our first Goats & Gourmet 🐐 of the year yesterday!

The landscape was speckled with wildflowers - bright Hawthorn and sunny Gorse blooms perfumed the air in the heat of the sun.

🧵Thread of sunshine, wildlife & happy faces.

Some yellow peas: Bird's Foot Trefoil, Horseshoe Vetch, Gorse and, I think, Lesser Trefoil (the tiny yellow peas always confuse me at the start of the season). Seen this afternoon near Plumpton, East Sussex
