Looks like an observed tornado occurred just NW of Bay Saint Louis—moving from near Stennis Space Center toward the Kiln & Diamndhead & now near Gulfport—moving roughly parallel to & just N of I10. #Mississippi

Yesterday's severe outbreak apparently got decent national coverage. #HurricaneMom (who lives in Manhattan) called all concerned because evening news in NYC described Gulf Coast 'devastation.' She was of course pleased Slidell/Hancock County #tornado missed #HurricaneHouse .

12 midnight. Restless in the Bay tonight. Stiff wind coming off the Gulf. Maybe 15 or 20 knots. Choppy seas. That clank! clank! clank! sound Gulf Coast towns make.

Seeing pics of damage at Stennis Space Center, which is WNW of Bay Saint Louis. Cars thrown together & stuff like that. The #tornado (or whatever it was) passed N of the city, but the yacht club near Downtown had 33 knots gusting to 43—so, almost TS conditions. #Mississippi

NWS New Orleans There was wind damage at Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, Mississippi, including cars in the parking lot thrown around. None of these four tracks goes near that location. Was the Hancock County thing a straight-line wind event?
