Tech is really flailing about in some kind of existential panic attack. The rate at which they’re promoting services no one wanted and don’t need, from this to #AI , is acutely comical. Never before have I seen a group in greater need of a hobby.

This quote is supposed to refer to OpenAI’s “safety issue.” It also reflects Altman’s refrain, insisting we need some dumb algorithmic formula to pretend to “think” for us. “Life’s too hard, you have to have #AI do it for you.”
