ME. “I dunno, a microbudget mystery in wine country doesn’t sound like something I’d even come close to considering giving a watch”
MOVIE, sliding face-down piece of paper across table. “But have you considered… our title”
ME. *turns paper over* “Holy shit”

Microbudget filmmakers aren’t studios. We don’t have capital. It’s not unethical for collaborators volunteer
on projects…

…BUT “Exposure” is VAUGE.

Check out our VOLUNTEER BASED FILMMAKING digital workbook for tips on non momentary incentives.

Microbudget indie looking for Producers complains about how harsh and difficult the industry is. Microbudget indie doesn't reply to emails offering help

an honest to god masterpiece. a movie where very little happens but it feels tense and momentous for its entire run.

also a movie to be studied because it achieves so much with so little -- microbudget training ground

The beautiful thing about indie microbudget filmmaking is that deadlines are flexible.

You don’t HAVE to rush and make a film by a certain day to try and meet a certain capitalist goal.

Being indie gives you the luxury of taking your time with your art.

Getting very itchy to start in on making another microbudget indie. This time I’d have to raise all the money (since I have no more money.) Do we think twitter as a crowdfunding hub is dead?

RIVER (🇯🇵 JP 2023) Really fun and imaginative microbudget time loop outing. Well written; it cleverly adds a little bit more plot on every repeat. Lots of nifty two minute takes and nimble camerawork. Charming Sci-Fi full of enjoyable performances.

SCORE: 7.5/10

I’m now watching The Vast of Night.

… weirdly, it kinda reminds me of Pontypool.

Microbudget genre film set around radios.

Calling all microbudget makers... this filmmakers' super microbudget (practically zero budget) is worth following. It's Martin's 1st feature and it can act as an inspiration and text/ guide to all those looking to break out/ break in without breaking the bank.

Went out to the theater for a random 4:20pm screening of a stoner comedy from the Philippines and ended up really delighted by and in love with what I saw. Wish more microbudget features were this irreverent and playful.

The Michigan indie film scene is one of the US's richest and most creatively diverse - with Potrykus on the vanguard of visionaries there still making true microbudget mindfucks with local crew and talent. Any new work by him is major. Smart programming, Tribeca

Time to be honest.

Every single month bar two my job has fucked up my paycheck.

I now have just over £500 this month to pay all my bills and feed the cats. I will simply have to microbudget eating to survive.

I am angry and upset. I shouldn't have to keep fighting this.
