In 🇩🇪 people can’t afford to get the driving license, pay rents, they are loosing jobs… while paying and supporting USA 🇺🇸 PROXY WARS and “first class” refugees from Ukraine and Israel

The average one-bedroom in Ottawa is $2038 and rising & tenants are having to get creative to cover rent.

Landlords have little incentive to stop raising rents, which is why we need this gov to bring back real rent control & start building affordable, non-market housing.

it’s wild that coastal cities have spent years debating if YIMBY policies will lower rents, and Austin just… did it

they streamlined permitting, upzoned most of the city, and eliminated parking mandates. Tons of housing is going up and rents are plummeting.

YIMBY policies work

Yesterday I offered an amendment on the House floor to incentivize converting short term rentals to long term rentals. rents are too high; the problem is too little supply. I want more rental units on the market ASAP. Sadly, the amendment failed.

With rents on the rise, cleaner streets are a necessity for all residents. Landlords play a crucial role in maintaining our city’s quality of life. It’s imperative they have help from the city to uphold standards by keeping properties free of litter, endless graffiti, and…

Won't landlords just jack up rent with land value tax?

No, LVT isn't passed onto tenants. If anything rents might go down as new supply comes online.

Kos Samaras Here’s why. Each day five 747s full of migrants are landing in Australia. They all need somewhere to live. They’re pushing up rents & the cost of scarce houses. Albo doesn’t care, he needs them to head off a recession.

Dear Bengloreans, before you vote tomorrow, do check your March Month payslips.
Modi imposed tax on PF, NPS, STT, LTCG, Removed tax exemptions, indexation on debt mutual funds, 20% on foreign remittances.
Didn't changed tax slabs from last 10 years. Your house rents are tripled.

Welcome to the new Australia.
The Lucky Country, where politicians and bureaucrats are fat and happy while the rest can live in a tent.

It's all ok... as 104,000 migrants in February land.

It's all ok as rents go up and housing skyrockets.

The Lucky Country.

This by Stephen Koukoulas makes sense to me. Using tight monetary policy to bring down the global oil price, insurance premiums after floods, housing rents and private school fees is futile.
