This is called THEODOLITE. It's one of the instruments used by Surveyors. It's used to measure angles.

Question Everything Piper australis Are you still under the false belief that the horizon rises to eye level?
You ever used a theodolite?

Looking for clues restinpeace globe Your eyesight is not being manipulated. You don't know what a theodolite is or how it works, clearly. Farther away the horizon gets, the more it curves downward from eye level. Read a book.

lebron The Lore Lodge Witsit Test the information to see whoβs falling prey. For e.g., if the earth was flat, the horizon will rise to eye level. But itβll drop below eye level on a globe. Predicted drop = 3.47 degrees. Drop measured with a phone app = 3.4 degrees: youtu.be/Hh6Ryt3-1q8?siβ¦

Get access to a theodolite, you will see curvature across water.
On land, you can see objects disappear behind the horizon at 3 miles, impossible using perspective on FE

Did you think I was using a theodolite? If I was, you would be right in complaining about the second bubble level.
But I don't use a theodolite: I use a level. As levels don't allow for aiming up and down, they only have one bubble level.
