Relocation of the Coyotes would bring Houston, NHL, WHA & Aeros full circle.
Aeros dropped from WHA merger, Winnipeg Jets included in WHA merger, merge to NHL, then moved to Phoenix, & potentially living the WHA charter team to Houston, a WHA charter city.

The air quality in southern Manitoba just plummeted like the second half of the Winnipeg Jets season and playoffs. Rain just moved in and with it a bank of smoke. This isn’t cloud or fog, pure smoke from the Alberta wildfires. Smells like a campfire out here.

Everything the Winnipeg Jets do this summer should be geared towards maximizing the opportunity to open a new competitive window for the 2025-2026 season.

“Especially when I see who gets a chance” is such a good line if you watched what the Jets have trotted out on Defence for those 4 years. Especially the guy getting the most opportunity.

Leon Gawanke: “I worked my ass off there for four years, and wasn’t rewarded. That’s obviously frustrating, especially when I see who gets a chance.

He went on to say - “There is still hope that they’ll trade me” when referring to the Winnipeg Jets.
