#Hillfortswednesday Pretty sure that the tree-lined area in the centre is Bury Hill Fort, just South of Winterbourne in #Gloucestershire ; the photo was taken (on Sunday 5th May) looking East from Hambrook Common. The houses on the right are the hamlet of Moorend (I think).

Blocking this historically perched and channelised reach of winterbourne will encourage it to spill into the floodplain, re-wetting meadows and creating new complex ephemeral channels.
