Working for 1 hour a day will get you ahead of those who work 0 hours a day.

This is obvious, but people still don't do it because they've been programmed to think they need 12 hours a day to make anything outside of a job work.

Use that 1 hour wisely:

The single trait I've noticed in people who do great things is figuring it out. Most people never do anything unless they are told to or there's an immediate and pleasurable benefit. Successful people learn and do anything it takes to get what they want, with or without help.

The moment you see the number of hours you work as a status symbol is the moment every area of your life starts to decline, especially your work.

Hard work matters. That's obvious. But to think that working hard on a task that someone assigns to you in exchange for a set amount of money will make you rich is delusional. You need to be in control of the product, the price, and the number of people that can benefit from it.

Person A can work 12 hours a day and make $50K a year.

Person B can work 1 hour a day and make $5 million a year.

The difference is skill, leverage, and understanding.

If you don't have a project of your own to build every single day, the chances of you feeling lost or getting stuck in a rut are incredibly high. You close yourself off to fulfillment. If you don't choose the goals you pursue, you don't choose what to learn, think, and do.

If you don't want to start a business because you think money is evil, but you work for a massive company that directly or indirectly contributes to evil (which is very likely), then you are more asleep than you think.

Being the best at one specific thing is statistically near impossible.

If you were going to be in the NBA, you'd probably know by now.

Most people will get much more out of life by becoming above average in a few key areas:

If you want to:

- have better ideas
- burn more calories
- reflect on your week
- have a mobile work block
- remove distractions instantly
- create time for podcasts or books

Go on a walk.

There aren’t many things simpler than walking that bring as many benefits.

I find it rather insane that we expect 18-year-olds to know exactly what they want out of life before their lives have even started.

Choose what to study. Let the debt pile up. Find a job (maybe) that you'll work at for the next 40+ years.

An early death sentence for most.

It’s not too late to start, it’s too late to continue allowing yourself to live the life that you obviously want to get out of.

It can be so simple.

Write out 3-5 lever-moving tasks.
Block out 3-5 hours for deep work.
Do what you want for the rest of the day.

Automate, outsource, or delegate anything that threatens this.

Being too busy strips the joy and creativity from your life and work.

1 hour of focused work on the weekdays.

4+ hours of focused work on the weekends.

If that's all the time you have, that's all the time you have. Most entrepreneurs didn't magically have zero responsibilities and start working 12 hours a day. They started with a few hours.

If you don’t want to do something, but you have to do it in order to do what you want, then you want to do it.

When 'feeling bad' becomes a habit rather than an occasional happening you know you've been acting mindlessly for a bit too long.

If you’re the same person you’ve always been, that doesn’t mean you’re authentic.

It means you conformed to the people who want you to stay the same forever.

Nothing in reality is static.

If you don’t change, reality will tell you, and it won’t feel good.

Too many people program themselves to be short term thinkers. Constantly pursuing that next dopamine hit to relieve them from the discomfort of their comfortable life.

You need to stop, think for once, and create a plan for your future to break the habit of feeling like shit.

You aren't where you want to be because you care too much about:

- Others dreams vs your own
- Others opinions vs your own
- Others feelings vs your own

It may be time to stop caring and focus on yourself for a bit:

The deliberate act of pursuing your curiosity is the start of a transition from doing what others tell you to doing what you enjoy.
