5% pay rise for all minimum wage & award workers and at least another 4% for child & home care workers

At this year’s Annual Wage Review, union members are calling for an additional 4% – on top of a 5% increase for award-reliant workers – for key industries traditionally dominated by women.

It’s a pivotal step in valuing the critical work done by these workers for our community.

Thanks to union members who campaigned for and helped win the Closing Loopholes Bill, workplace delegates now have more rights so they can better support workers.

In the next few months, the Fair Work Commission will decide what the minimum wage should be from July 1. Union members are demanding a 5% increase to help workers keep up with the cost of living.

Woolworths has been caught underpaying staff once again. This time at least 1,235 former staff in Victoria were not paid long service entitlements they were owed, adding up to $1.24 million dollars.
