A mental health hospital in Bradford has been placed into special measures after inspectors rated it inadequate. Cygnet Hospital Wyke has been given a warning over out of date medicine & unclean wards. The hospital said it's disappointed with the rating and has asked for a review

Votes will start being counted this morning after most of our region went to the polls yesterday. York and North Yorkshire will get its first elected mayor later. These eight areas were voting for new councillors - with all currently under Labour control apart from Sheffield.

In Lincoln, the Conservatives did narrowly hold on in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections, with Marc Jones elected for a third term. He beat the Labour candidate Mike Horder by just 7,708 votes. Here's Marc Jones (Con) Lincolnshire Police & Crime Commissioner.

An installation of 1000 handmade feathers will be launched in the grounds of Aubourn Hall & Gardens in Lincoln today, to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice. The ‘Feathers from Above’ appeal offers supporters a the chance to add their loved ones name to the iron crafted artwork.
