in DC, I met with the Council on Environmental Quality in the Executive Office as we continued our advocacy to stop the billions of gallons of intreated sewage that flow through the TJ River Valley into our communities. I informed them of my experience as a resident and mother.

I had the opportunity to meet with U.S. CBP officials to discuss matters impacting our border region including the San Ysidro Port of Entry and the Otay Mesa Port of Entry.

During our Washington D.C. Delegation trip, my colleagues and I also met with key officials from the U.S. Department of Transportation as we advocated for several projects that are essential to our region, including La Media Road and the Otay Mesa East Port of Entry.

Another insightful meeting with key officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This was a great opportunity to discuss the public health and environmental health impacts of the Tijuana River Valley Crisis with the CDC.
