WHAT A FARCE. The very authorities who created the etoll mess - costing SA billions of Rands - now celebrate termination of the scheme. Its demise was due to years of civil defiance, which forced their hand to switch off, yet they seem to be self-congratulating at this outcome.

HOW’S THIS FOR A FARCE: Last night 11 April 2024, officials from the Dept of Transport, Sanral and Gauteng Province attended a self-congratulatory ceremony and media shoot, to switch-off the etoll scheme, which was debacle and costly mess that they themselves created. Sigh.

Sadly, Minister Blade Nzimande is allowing the NSFAS board and its chair off the hook. He should open an enquiry into their possible ignorance of fiduciary duties & “allowing” gross maladministration at NSFAS. Khosa should be fired. Accountability is foreign for ANC’s weak leadership.
